How to Make Tomato Rice Recipe | Free Tips for South Indian Food

Ingredients
  • Ponni Rice - 1 Cup
  • Tomatoes medium size - 6
  • Green Chilli - 3 Nos Slit
  • Onion Small - 1 piece Chopped lengthwise
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves - 1 spring
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
Preparation
  • Cook the Rice and spread over the plate.
  • Boil the tomatoes in the pressure cooker and peel off and keep it aside.
  • Heat the Oil in the Pan and add mustard seeds.
  • When spluttering add Onions, fry until raw smell goes off.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt and tomatoes.
  • Keep stirring.
  • Now mix with the rice and stir well to evaporate water if any.
